CONNECT+ECHO held “Game Sound Connect + Summit,” a networking event for the game sound field, in Seoul, South Korea.

Game Sound Connect + Summit is an event designed to bring together developers and creators working in the field of game sound, providing an opportunity to share knowledge and experience while deepening connections among participants. On the day of the event, we welcomed a wide range of attendees with an interest in game sound and game development.

During the sessions, we were joined by Sa-in Jeong, CTO of EIM Studio, and Kiki, organizer of the community “Game Sound Gaja,” who shared their insights on studio management, sound design, and creator communities.

From CONNECT+ECHO, Kazuki Kitamura and Hijo Choi also took the stage.

Kazuki Kitamura gave a talk titled “The Past, Present, and Future of Computer Entertainment Audio,” discussing changes in game audio technology and production environments, as well as future developments in the field.

Hijo Choi presented “Sounds That Are Played Back and Sounds That Are Played — Thoughts on Game Sound Portfolios,” sharing perspectives on what game sound portfolios can be, based on actual development environments and player experiences.

After the sessions, a social gathering and networking time were also held, where participants freely exchanged ideas about their experiences in production, challenges in the field, and the future of game sound.

We hope this event served as an opportunity for all participants to make new connections and gain new insights. We will continue to value the connections created through this event and work to provide opportunities for those involved in game sound and game development to share their knowledge and experience while deepening mutual exchange.
